Bat Poem by S.Wallows

Years 3 and 4 put their heads together today to write a poem about bats.

Bat flies from her dark damp cave
Out into the night,
Hunting for food
To fill her belly.

Bat swoops down
Racing and chasing her prey
Catching insects in a frantic flight,
Searching with echolocation.

Bat speeds home
Quickly back to her cave
With her long leathery wings
To hang upside down in deep sleep.
