Well done to everybody for a harvest festival that we will remember for a long time to come. The children's voices sounded beautiful in church and I think there were a few tears in the eyes of the adults when the children sang Seeds of Friendship. Paris' solo was fantastic and typified the confidence that all the children showed. Robins and Woodpeckers were all on song! And Kingfishers poignantly taught us about the imbalance of food in the world, with some people going hungry and others wasting, as they said, 7 Million Tons. Thank you to all the parents who came and who donated harvest gifts and bought the produce, much of which Dylan, Luca and Tom had harvested from the school garden. The fruit and vegetable sale was good fun, especially the auction. However, I don't think that I will be taking up auctioneering as a living! I know that we raised a lot of money for Macmillan Cancer Research.
