Newsletter 18.12.14

Dear Parents

It has been a very festive and enjoyable end to the term at Gresham Village. The Christmas Fayre was very successful- I loved Santa’s grotto, even though I was a little too big to fit through the tunnel! The Friends made a very impressive total of £785.60! Thank you to Nicky and everybody who helped- it was a real team effort and enjoyed by all. On Tuesday, the children read and sang beautifully in church, creating a very real Christmas atmosphere. Their singing of Silent Night brought quite a few tears to the adults’ eyes. Then on Wednesday, we were treated to our performances. Both Christmas with the Aliens by early Years and Key Stage 1 and Merry Christmas Mr Scrooge by Key Stage 2 were fantastic. I was struck by how well all the children performed and by how much enjoyment they got from their performances.

The Spring Term starts for Key Stages 1 and 2 on Tuesday 6th January and for nursery and reception on Wednesday 7th January. In the meantime, we would all like to wish each and every family a very happy and enjoyable Christmas and New Year.
