Poppies to Remember

We made poppies yesterday afternoon to create our own version of the Tower of London poppyfields and today they went up on the railings outside school, creating quite a stir at the end of school. Every child made at least one poppy from recycled plastic bottles. We are hoping that they will be seen by passers-by during the next week of remembrance. The project is the culmination of our assembly theme of Remembrance and Kingfishers' project about the First World War. An exhibition of their work can be seen in the Old Library- it is absolutely fascinating and well worth a view.
