Reaction Tests

Years 5 and 6 devised their own reaction tests in maths this week in order to collect time data in fractions of seconds. It started with a game in which you had to tranquilize sheep as they tried to escape from the field! You can find it at-http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sleep/sheep/reaction_version5.swf if you would like a go!

The children came up with all sorts of reaction tests, from hitting an electric buzzer as the slugs appeared to catching a frog as it whizzed across the table. As a result the children had to use stop watches that gave their results in hundredths of seconds and calculate average times.

Can you see the frog whizzing past?
